The pirates are taking a break on Louisiana, terra firma. A bit of rum, warm pipe and laughter lighten's the spirit. I was able to shoot photos of the old ship to allow pleasing authenticity. An added bit of humor, the pirates were seen in various New Orleans saloons. I do love pirate painting.
